Justin has been running Shakespeare workshops for over 10 years. These workshops focus on helping actors perform the classics with emotional truth and clarity, making Shakespeare’s timeless works accessible and engaging.

The workshops will continue in 2025, offering opportunities for actors of all experience levels to refine their craft.

Actor

Justin Hay has a passion for bringing powerful stories to life on stage and screen. Most recently, he portrayed Bob Cratchit in Three Ship Collective’s A Christmas Carol. On screen, Justin will soon appear in Hallmark’s The Perfect Setting, set to premiere in January 2025.

In the summer of 2024, Justin performed his critically acclaimed solo show, My Own Private Shakespeare, at the New York Little Shakespeare Festival. The play, which won the Broadway World Toronto Award for Best Play in 2021, also graced the stage at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022.

Other recent stage credits include Your Children Will Follow at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023 and Tricia Williams’ Hymns and Hearse at the Toronto Fringe 2023, both of which showcased his versatility and talent for connecting with audiences through compelling narratives.

Justin has written two contrasting plays:

My Own Private Shakespeare, combining personal reflections with scenes from Shakespeare, was premiered in Toronto in 2021, and then performed at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022 and the Little Shakespeare Festival in New York in 2024.

Saskatchewan: An Aspirational Polyamorous Adventure was premiered at the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2024.
